Finally we have the launch trailer for Bioshock 2. The first chapter still is one of the best game experiences of this generation, aclaimed by critics and winning a lot of awards. Its strange, but this new Bioshock haven´t received too much hype as its predecessor, and looks awesome. The trailer shows the problems and inconveniences of been a Big Daddy, the worst have an enemy as the Big Sister. Great watching, the game will be hitting stores just the 9 of this month.

Booth Babes, every super-nerd’s worst social nightmare, they stand/sit there like sirens taunting passersby to listen to their convincing monologue to purchase or leave a good impression on whatever product they’re showing off. Believe me, I enjoy looking at a well shaped body like everyone else, but the fact of the matter is they’re women doing a job and therefore deserve to be treated professionally and with respect as you would any clerk or waitress.(another profession that all too often gets crap from ogres…) Sadly this is what happens when basement bred orcs socially trained by the internet are juxtaposed with attractive and friendly women, professional niceties are interpreted as flirting and all hell can ensue. Not too long ago while perusing the web for a possible new mouse to buy I found Iron.Lady. It’s a professional female tournament in Asia where the best warcraft 3 gaming girls gather up to duke it out and see who’s the “Super Iron Lady”. The tournament is a testament further proving how the markets in asia are leaps and bounds ahead of the west in terms of E-sports. Read the rest of this entry »

Let me start off by apologizing for the lack of any posts in the last month, only one of us wrote something, ONE whole post! Pathetic! Hopefully I can make amends this month although in my defense I’ve kept myself busy writing in our WoW section. Speaking of WoW as you all know last week where the Oscars, personally I didn’t watch it because I can’t be arsed to watch actors rub their (un)deserved movie-peens. What do the Oscars have to do with WoW? One of the winners apparently is a player of the popular MMO. Read the rest of this entry »

There have been plenty of ridiculous laws made in the past but to what lengths do legislatures go to these days to censor what they deem inappropriate. Well it seems that Illinois has recently created a new law that is aimed at restricting the advertising of “alcopops” in video games and other media. Read the rest of this entry »

Nowadays it’s not surprising to see this kind of news pop up ever since a similar case arose in 2006, as well as the various incidents in China and Korea where players killed themselves on purpose or on accident. Perhaps there wasn’t as much drama in Middletown, Ohio as there was in Reno, Nevada in 2007 but it still reminds us of how any vice if left unchecked can lead to disastrous results. Disclaimer: This post isn’t about actual sex scenes in video games, but about the role sex has had over the years in video games and how it’s affected players and the market alike.

Even before there where enough pixels to form a proper pair of breasts or muscles on the screen, many games already used sex as a means of advertisement in the game’s packaging and manuals. Soon as there was enough resolution to discern some form of curves, games where already implementing it such as the infamous Duke Nukem, “Shake it baby!” comes to mind. Sex sells, there’s no denying it, but has it affected video game sales as well? Read the rest of this entry »

Ever wondered what Blackened Basilisk or Spiced Mammoth Treats would taste like if you could get sink your teeth into it in real life? Well if you plan on going to Beijing any time soon a WoW themed restaurant has recently opened up where everything from the design to the menu is based on the top hit MMO.
