Greetings readers!

Last weekend was definitely an interesting one, for those of you who don’t  know I’m talking about Eros Galicia 2010 which celebrated it’s second visit in the city of A Coruña. For you english readers I’ll sum up it for by saying it’s an erotic (pR0N) festival that started last year in Galicia, Spain.

I couldn’t resist the urge to satiate my curiosity and just had to go to the event and meet some of the porn-stars as well as check out all the other festivities. It was one hell of an experience! Amidst all  thongs, muscles, leather, and curves galore… it dawned on me, (admit it, you thought it once too) “Do any of these curvaceous monuments made of flesh play videogames??” Obviously this became the biggest thought on my mind from the moment I went in to the second I got out, well that and scissors! *ahem* Anyway… More after the break!

Kaboom! This last weekend was full of disasters: earthquakes, tsunamis, and PSN colapsing on itself causing millions of pre-pubescent PS3 players to scream out in agony, demanding retribution upon Sony. I just heard the good news! No, wonderful news! StraCraft II closed beta has finally started, which means the release date is just a little closer, and that makes me happy in the pants. Don’t think this is great news? Fine, go fornicate yourself with a gigantic Ultralisk! Booth Babes, every super-nerd’s worst social nightmare, they stand/sit there like sirens taunting passersby to listen to their convincing monologue to purchase or leave a good impression on whatever product they’re showing off. Believe me, I enjoy looking at a well shaped body like everyone else, but the fact of the matter is they’re women doing a job and therefore deserve to be treated professionally and with respect as you would any clerk or waitress.(another profession that all too often gets crap from ogres…) Sadly this is what happens when basement bred orcs socially trained by the internet are juxtaposed with attractive and friendly women, professional niceties are interpreted as flirting and all hell can ensue. Hell yeah! Dethklok and Amon Amarth are coming to guitar hero! Okay it’s only 1 song each *cry* but it’s still awesome! The two songs won’t be available till January 21st. Really trippy that they’ve decided to put in a fictional band into the game, there must be some nerdy metalheads at work here, hehe.

All the track packs will be sold for $5.49 on PS3, 550 Wii Points, or 440 puntos microsoft on Xbox 360. The songs will also be available individually for $1.99, 200 Wii Points, or 160 puntos microsoft. A bit expensive for 3 or 1 song for my taste but that’s Activision-Blizzard’s blood sucking marketing for ya. Read the rest of this entry »

Alright, I ran into this on a couple of blogs (joystiq, toid) and just had to post it here. This is exactly what it looks like, a guitar in the form of a Koopa Troopa from Mario Bros. How awesome is that?! It probably isn’t Gibson quality or anything and it looks like it could be cumbersome to play, either way I’m very envious and would love to have one of these just because it is pure awesome… in turtle/guitar form! Every now and then you come across a game which you enjoy looking at more than just simply playing it. Masumura: The Demon Hunter for the Nintendo Wii, is such a game. It’s combat system is really simplistic and repetitive but the backgrounds are absolutely stunning. I’d find myself upon entering a new area admiring the backgrounds rather than worry about the 12 ninjas dropping on my head. Read the rest of this entry »

Word has gotten out of the voice actors that Mass Effect 2 will feature, every day the line between video games and movies/series is becoming thinner, and I’m loving it! Bioware truly delivers games so narratively intriguing that you find yourself in awe not only of the gameplay but the storyline as well. Apparently a Chinese MMO known as “King of the World” has recently implemented a webcam test to check if their players are actually female or not.
