Starcraft II: Battle Report #3

Starcraft II: Battle Report #3

This video has been leaked out in the past few days in different websites and it hasn’t even been published on the official StarCraft II site (www.starcraft2.com). Either someone at Blizzard is leaking or the guy in charge of updating the website is slacking ;)

In the video Dustin Browder and Robert Simpson once again comment a match with “E-sport” enthusiasm but this time between Protoss and Zerg. Yeon-Ho Lee plays as Zerg and David Kim as Protoss. Needless to say it was a very interesting match and showed some possible and interesting strategies by both races.

  • The use of the Protoss Disruptors aggressively and defensively to create force fields already has me thinking of the huge potential this unit has.
  • I also thought the micro-managing finesse Yeon-Ho Lee used to bring his Zerg Roaches to full potential was amazing. (These units regen quickly, so by swapping out injured ones to the back lines or burrowing a player can make their roach army last much longer)
  • Albeit not the most original ability in terms of those seen in RTS games, the Zerg Corruptor’s ability to temporarily mind control air units can quickly turn the tides of a battle.

Pretty exciting Battle Report, I won’t spoil the outcome for those who haven’t watched it yet.
