This video has been leaked out in the past few days in different websites and it hasn’t even been published on the official StarCraft II site (www.starcraft2.com). Either someone at Blizzard is leaking or the guy in charge of updating the website is slacking ;) Read the rest of this entry »

PSP Go

I bet Sony is cursing youtube and the internet in general by now. Leaked fotos and videos have revealed that Sony’s new handheld system is the “PSP Go” and will be showcased during the E3 this week. One of it’s key features is that it will no longer use the failed UMD system but will rely on flash memory instead. Read the rest of this entry »

soldier1The New York Post has recently published an article about the US army’s vision for soldiers of the future. Visually it looks like something out of Halo or a storm trooper from Star Wars and according to the article:

Aided by “smart drugs,” enhanced with prosthetics, and protected by a lightweight suit of armor, this soldier of the future possesses near super-human capabilities and weapons that would make even Iron Man jealous. He’s suited up in an “exoskeleton” - essentially a Storm Trooper-esque external shell - that allows him to carry heavy loads. Electronics integrated in his outfit allow for simultaneous language translation, automatic identification of potential foes, and video-game-like targeting. If the soldier is tired, overworked, or injured, neural and physiological sensors automatically send an alert to headquarters.

Not too long ago while perusing the web for a possible new mouse to buy I found Iron.Lady. It’s a professional female tournament in Asia where the best warcraft 3 gaming girls gather up to duke it out and see who’s the “Super Iron Lady”. The tournament is a testament further proving how the markets in asia are leaps and bounds ahead of the west in terms of E-sports. Read the rest of this entry »

After days and months of endless debates we’ve finally decided to update the design of our flagship blog 60 Frames per Second! It’s the same template but with a few tweaks in colors, hopefully it retains the same legibility and esthetics. Harry Forsón has also been working on a new blog which will be exclusively about Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning with a 60FPS twist of course. Read the rest of this entry »

I just came across this little gem of a video of Obama being created as a character in NCSoft’s upcoming MMO Aion: The Tower of Eternity. It’s a fantasy based MMO where your character can partake in PvE and PvP on the ground and in the air or in the case of this video, a sword swashling politician of justice! Let me start off by apologizing for the lack of any posts in the last month, only one of us wrote something, ONE whole post! Pathetic! Hopefully I can make amends this month although in my defense I’ve kept myself busy writing in our WoW section. Speaking of WoW as you all know last week where the Oscars, personally I didn’t watch it because I can’t be arsed to watch actors rub their (un)deserved movie-peens. What do the Oscars have to do with WoW? One of the winners apparently is a player of the popular MMO. Read the rest of this entry »

At PETA’s Proggy awards they’ve announced Fable 2 as the “Most Animal-Friendly Video Game” for 2008. For those of you who do not know who or what PETA represents, they’re an animal rights group based in the United States boasting over 2 million members.

On their website the following is said about Microsoft’s Fable 2: “Created by Microsoft Game Studios, Fable 2 is a vegetarian’s dream come true. Why? In this virtual fight between good and evil, characters powered by tofu are just as powerful as their meat-eating counterparts—and are more fit and attractive to boot. Read the rest of this entry »

There have been plenty of ridiculous laws made in the past but to what lengths do legislatures go to these days to censor what they deem inappropriate. Well it seems that Illinois has recently created a new law that is aimed at restricting the advertising of “alcopops” in video games and other media. Read the rest of this entry »
